PhD Candidate

My research goals are broadly to explore wild bee communities and their ecology in an effort to manage their biodiversity. I strive to share with others a passion for wild bees as important pollinators of our natural environment.

I’m currently a PhD candidate at the University of Toronto under the supervision of Drs. Sandy M. Smith (entomology lab) and Sean C. Thomas (silvicultural lab). My current research examines temperate forest bees in relation to habitat, resources use, and their responses to introduced European honeybees. My broad research interests include more general bee ecology and conservation biology of wild bees.
